The mission of a social enterprise

Social Enterprise Programs give nonprofits such as The Whole Person (TWP) a new way to connect with the community and spread the word about the independent living movement and the concept of inclusion, diversity and acceptance.

Social Enterprise is generally considered to be the cutting edge for employment development for people with disabilities and for companies with a social conscience or “mission”. TWP certainly fits that description and desires to be an innovative example of new ideas and progressive options for completing its mission of expanding independence for people living with a disability.

There are opportunities for you to connect with this mission and support the job seekers who will be going through our EmployAbilities, the three-stage, eight week program that provides individuals living with developmental disabilities the opportunity to refine their working and job seeking skill sets. Donations to this program will help provide scholarships for those who otherwise could not afford the training.
